Parents: Is your children involved in alot or a couple activities/sports?
We are in a few different activites..
we go to Awana (at church) Wednesday evenings only from Sept-May
My boys were in soccer this year..it was only 2 months long in Aug-Sept on saturday mornings

my oldest-4 years old I think wants to play tee ball this year..only a couple of months..and I think he wants to go to JAM (Jesus and Me) camp but its only 1 week and from 9-3pm…

I like being an involved mommy..I go and help in everything they do..

Is your children involved in activities/sports?

my 3 oldest are in wildcats, although my odlest daughter wont be doing it this year. apperently it isnt cool anymore lol. my oldest 2 girls were in cheerleading. and my son was in basketball but that didnt turn out so well. we tried church camp, but i cant afford it for all of my kdis. theres not really alot around here for my 4 year old that doesnt cost an arm and a legt for some reason. i didnt know anyone still had awana. i was in that when i was younger. i loved it. that is a great place for kids to be.

They bowled last summer and might again this summer. They are 7 &5. My eldest went more then my middle son; he was into it more I guess. They are in CCD once a week during the school year, but that’s a requirement for first communion. I got them started on a free trial at karate school but my eldest has decided, after 3 classes, he doesn’t want to go anymore. If my middle boy still wants to go, I’ll be taking him. My hubby and I put more emphasis on academics then activities. We decided long ago that activities would depend on keeping up with good school work; bad grades mean no activity.

Unfortunatly in our area there are not enough kids getting involved that many activities/sports/etc
are not being held. I mean just last year alone we signed my daughter up for jazz dance lessons and it got cancelled as there were not enough students, then we went for girl guides and it lasted for 2 weeks then she would have had to drive 45 minutes to another girl guide branch to attend because our area did not have enough girls. It really is sad.
However, my daughter joined a science club held after school in the library called "curiosity club" which is held every monday from 3-30 -4-30. Then she attends sunday school at her grandparents church and is involved in their kids club and attends some activities they hold. In the summer we keep her quite active as we have a swimming pool and jungle gym in our backyard. We go bowling, golfing and to the beach, But i would like to get her more involved in outside activities, hoping for a better outcome this year.

We don’t really do anything all that much, my children are quite young. My eldest recently turned four and she is wanting to start playing soccer (apart from just in the backyard with her father) so we will get her into that. She also has learned to play some basic chords on guitar with my help.

Both of my daughters (the other is four months) both take swimming lessons, although for my four month old this just means getting used to the water. Being Australian I believe everyone should know how to swim.
